Privacy Policy for The AI Edge Publisher

This Privacy Policy explains how The AI Edge Publisher accesses, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through Google, YouTube, and TikTok APIs.
The AI Edge Publisher is operated by Damien Benveniste to publish original AI educational videos to authorized social media accounts. For TikTok, the application transfers a video to the authorized user’s TikTok inbox as a draft. The user reviews and completes the publication inside TikTok.
Information accessed
After the account owner authorizes a supported platform, the application may access:
The authorized account or channel identifier, including a YouTube channel identifier or TikTok Open ID.
The account or channel display name when provided by the platform.
OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, granted scopes, and expiration information.
Videos and metadata selected for upload, including titles and descriptions where applicable.
API responses such as upload identifiers, processing status, publication status, and error information.
The application requests only the permissions needed for account identification and authorized video delivery. It does not access email, contacts, private messages, viewing history, comments, or subscriptions.
How information is used
Information obtained through platform APIs is used only to:
Confirm that the application is connected to the intended account or channel.
Upload approved videos and associated metadata to YouTube.
Transfer approved videos to the authorized TikTok account for review and publication.
Verify whether an upload or transfer completed successfully.
Prevent accidental or duplicate delivery.
Diagnose publication failures and protect the application from unauthorized use.
Platform data is not used for advertising, user profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or sale.
Storage and security
Production OAuth credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager. Local development credentials may be stored in developer-controlled environment files that are excluded from source control.
Videos, metadata, and restricted operational records may be stored in Google Cloud Storage or application logs for publishing, verification, troubleshooting, and duplicate prevention.
Credentials are not written to public publication artifacts. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect credentials and publication records from unauthorized access.
Sharing and transfers
Information is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Information is transmitted to Google, YouTube, and TikTok only as necessary to perform authorized account verification and video delivery. Google Cloud services are used to operate and secure the application.
The application’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
TikTok’s handling of information is described in the TikTok Privacy Policy and applicable TikTok platform policies.
Retention and deletion
OAuth credentials are retained until authorization is revoked, credentials expire or are replaced, or deletion is requested.
Videos, metadata, and publication records may be retained for operational security, audit, troubleshooting, and duplicate prevention. Publication records may include the destination platform, account or channel identifier, uploaded content identifier, processing status, publication status, and timestamps.
To request deletion of stored credentials, videos, or publication records, contact damienb@theaiedge.io. Requests will ordinarily be processed within 30 days, subject to legitimate security or legal retention requirements.
Deleting information from The AI Edge Publisher does not automatically delete content already transferred to or published on YouTube or TikTok. That content must also be managed through the relevant platform.
Revoking access
Google authorization can be revoked through Google Account connections.
TikTok authorization can be revoked through the connected-app permissions available in the user’s TikTok account settings.
After authorization is revoked, the application will no longer be able to access the affected account unless authorization is granted again. Revocation does not automatically delete content previously uploaded or published.
Children
The application is not directed to children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the application, supported platforms, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
