Privacy Policy for The AI Edge Publisher

This Privacy Policy explains how The AI Edge Publisher accesses, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs.
The AI Edge Publisher is a private application operated by Damien Benveniste for publishing original AI educational videos to authorized YouTube channels.
Information accessed
After Google authorization, the application may access:
The authorized YouTube channel’s identifier and display name.
OAuth access and refresh tokens.
Videos and metadata selected for upload, including titles and descriptions.
YouTube API responses such as uploaded video identifiers, processing status, publication status, and error information.
The application does not access Google email, contacts, files, viewing history, private messages, comments, or subscriptions.
How information is used
Information obtained through Google APIs is used only to:
Confirm that the application is connected to the intended YouTube channel.
Upload approved videos and their metadata.
Verify that an upload completed successfully.
Prevent accidental or duplicate publication.
Diagnose publication failures and protect the application from unauthorized use.
Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or sale.
Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager. Application workloads run on Google Cloud, and restricted operational records may be stored in Google Cloud Storage or application logs.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect credentials and publication records from unauthorized access.
Sharing and transfers
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Information is transmitted to Google and YouTube as necessary to perform authorized channel verification and video uploads. Google Cloud services are used to operate and secure the application.
The application’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
OAuth credentials are retained until authorization is revoked, the credentials are replaced, or deletion is requested.
Publication records may be retained for operational security, audit, troubleshooting, and duplicate-prevention purposes. They contain information such as the destination channel, uploaded video identifier, publication status, and timestamps.
To request deletion of stored credentials or publication records, contact us. Requests will ordinarily be processed within 30 days, subject to legitimate security or legal retention requirements.
Deleting information from the publisher does not automatically delete a video already uploaded to YouTube. Uploaded videos can be managed or deleted through YouTube Studio.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time through Google Account connections. After revocation, the application will no longer be able to access the authorized YouTube channel unless authorization is granted again.
Children
The application is not directed to children and is not offered as a public consumer service.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the application’s functionality or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
